Very good timing... for me. Yesterday I had problems with my knees during yoga class. My knees always moved between over extended position and " just right" positon. I didn't feel great during the class because of that and I also had problem with the tree and the dancer pose... more than usual? :)

Not many yoga (or flexibility) teachers emphasise the support aspect of muscles. This is probably because it probably is not talked about that much and they see the final pose in books or already accomplished masters and think that it is simply enough to mimic any fully "relaxed" position using basic principles.
However, assuming you did not start as a baby, there was a journey to get to that? pose and it is different for all. Esther's videos show that well:)
